When we launch something, it is with the idea of making concept become reality. Over three years ago, we began the push on MHProNews.com for a concept we dubbed the MH Alliance – Partners in Progress.
Manufactured Housing is the future, not the past. Billionaires like Warren Buffett and Sam Zell – MH industry made billionaire Jim Clayton – keep investing in MH. They’ve invested billions in the MH sector. They do so because MH is a safe bet.
That doesn’t mean it will happen without effort. Thus the need for Education, Image Building and PR. The current MH image is an opportunity in disguise for those who are ready to invest in the common sense steps needed to grow their business while growing the industry even more.
I read a story about a group of WV MH Retailers, who in the 1980s (pre-Internet) created a free print publication handed out on racks in restaurants and gas stations. That publication told stories about MH. It obviously featured those who supported the PR project. As I recall the published results, everyone (including those not paying to be in the PR/Marketing/Image effort) saw their sales go up something like 15%.
But those who were directly involved, who supported it with time, talent and treasure, saw their sales rise some 75%.
Some don’t want to do an image campaign, because they think others will benefit from their efforts. That’s true, sure that will happen. Some want something for nothing. Some people want to ride other’s coat tails.
But as the results of the effort noted above demonstrates, that those who invested got far more than the others. The ROI on being a part of this is solid.
Another point that must be mentioned. This is not a quick fix. It is a mid-term project. Don’t expect a herd at your door tomorrow. This isn’t how it works, because what we do is attract those people who have cash or good credit and could buy other forms of housing, but will opt to buy an MH once they see for themselves the value.
Those who follow or invest in what we are doing, see results. Please see the video above to hear what others have to say. Then if you are one of those who want to invest in growing the future of MH, call 863-213-4090 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. Thanks. ##
